The Wollombi Valley is bordered by National Parks and State Forests, offering a range of walks. The 10-day Great North Walk starts in Sydney and crosses the Watagans on its way to the Hunter Valley, while short circular walks in Yengo National Park provide an opportunity to view remnants of the Great North Road or observe the native flora and fauna.
