Wollombi Wine Trail

The Wollombi Wine trail consists of four wineries in the Wollombi valley, all offering unique and high quality wines. These wineries also host the annual "Sculpture in the Vines" exhibition, in Spring. All vineyards are open to the public, and wine-tasting of local wines is also available at the Water Hen Deli, in the village (all days except Monday).

Millbrook Estate

This hillside vineyard, located in a Victorian farmhouse winery, produces award-winning Chardonnay, Chardonnay blends and Shiraz at reasonable prices. Specialty wines include port and lemon wine.

Location: 1.5km from the village of Millfield. Turn into Mt View Road (off Wollombi Road) at the Vineyard's sign.

Stonehurst

Stonehurst aims to produce premium quality fruit through sustainable viticulture - no insecticides and only organically approved fungicides are used. The winery produces a range of red and white wines, including Chambourcin, a little used varietal which is well suited to the Hunter Valley region and am award-winning Golden Dessert Semillon.

Location: On Wollombi Road between Wollombi & Millfield, about 8min from Wollombi.

Undercliff

Undercliff produces hand-made premium wines, in very limited quantities, using fruit from its own vineyards. Varieties include Semillon, Dessert Semillon, a traditional basket press Shiraz, Sparkling Shiraz, Chambourcin, Chardonnay and Fortified Muscat. Under the guidance of experienced winemaker David Carrick, Undercliff Winery has won numerous awards throughout Australia for their unique wine styles.
